Arkham Horror Halloween Game

Before the Horror....Putting on the Ritz

They have no idea how horrifying this night will get...I just ate a curry and it really effects my...oh ahem...sorry....

To Begin my Arkham Horror Project I had decided the Games Portal Tokens would just not do... I needed something a little more dramatic ....noticeable...it is the purpose of the game after all :) ...I had a few wooden odds and ends from my wargaming box that I constructed into a kind of hangman's scaffold shape....

Using some of my "Bocage" foliage I glue-gunned it onto the  "scaffold"

No craft project is complete without the obligatory pipe cleaners....I attached these by simply wrapping them around the scaffold and applying a little glue.
Then using the glue-gun I applied more glue onto each of the pipe-cleaners. These I had already bent into extended shapes that were "reaching out" from the scaffold. By applying more glue on the pipe-cleaners I was giving them a certain
tentacle type shape. This is very easy to do if you don't mind giving yourself third degree burns (joking...)

To provide the entire structure with a little more stiffness I covered it with watered down whiteglue....

Spray painted the entire thingy black and then applied some paint and glitter and hey presto....

The finished article....

Being a bit of a minis nut I bought must of the monsters and characters

Give the Clues a little of a face lift....some of them have a little extra something attached but for practicals purposes of space I have some that are just covered with the green beed

Another Clue...

I didn't buy every monster as I had a few D&D monsters that were similar enough fill in

Tried to paint as quickly as I could while maintaining a certain gaming standard

Got this Monster Cup really cheap in a Halloween store

Portal...

I played some appropriate 20's 30's music with my iPhone ready with some ghoulish sound effects!

The ambiance aided by the use of candle light and fuelled by alcohol....

The skull opens to double as the "Monster Cup"

Character Profile with magnets to secure the various cards. The lantern on the top left of the profile denotes the "First Player"

I converted a few old chests I had to hold the many, many many card decks and various markers/tokens...

Sorry I put this up super quick...I'll try to add more photos of the various pieces etc...

Thanks for watching....
